MTG Does ‘WICKED’!!
Apollos 6-12yrs

Well what can we say about Wicked? In this abbreviated version of the much-loved musical extravaganza we will follow Elphaba (later known as the Wicked Witch of the West) as she navigates her young adult life and meets Galinda (The good witch) at Shiz University. As she discovers more about her power, the politics of Oz and the all powerful Wizard, Elphaba discovers that not everything is straightforward in friendship, life or in love. Along with a fabulous ensemble of characters and a couple of narrators the students will navigate this wonderful story and wow parents with just how many songs and dances they can learn in just 3 days!
The workshop will involve:
Vocally warm up and learning songs around the piano.
Dancing both choreographed movement from the teachers but also some popular trending/original choreography from the film!
Acting with their own personal script (written by us) where they can highlight and write their own notes.
Fabulous crafts and outdoor space as a chance to breathe after their hard work!
As always we will put forward the idea of costume and ‘set’, prompting our MTG students to consider what they might want to wear for our performance and how we might make the show look for the parents and carers on the final day!

MTG Does ‘The Wizard Of Oz’!!

After tallying up the votes from you, our wonderful parents, we acknowledge that the Pinters class deserves their own performance as well! Cue The Wizard Of Oz with a chance for our 4-6 year olds to tell their own story of Dorothy, The Tin Man, The Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion!
As always, our ethos at MTG is to create a nurturing environment for children to grow at their own pace and with support around them. Our teacher Jannette has that in spades and will steer this wonderful group of young theatricals to a lovely show for parents on the final day. Expect dancing, singing and a bit of script for each child to have the opportunity to show off in the most fabulous way we know how! Showbiz!
The workshop will involve:
Learning to vocally and physically warm up
Learning some simple choreography
Acting with their own personal script (heavily adapted by us)
Crafts and plenty of games
The opportunity to run around in the outdoor space for a chance to breathe
Numerous snack breaks throughout the day to give the children some downtime
A final performance where parents and carers are invited to come and see what we have been up to over the three day workshop!

MTG Does ‘ZOMBIES’!!

With themes tackling our differences and finding acceptance, this all singing, all dancing script will be a sure fire hit with your little superstars! Just in time for Halloween, you can really get into your more spooky side and dressing up is definitely encouraged!
‘Zombies’ isn’t nearly as scary as the name suggests though, so don’t be afraid to submit your more cautious children (if in doubt, give us a call and we can have a natter!) - In a world where people and Zombies are separated by a wall and they are finally being allowed to go to school together, this is a story with a lot of heart and some fantastic songs!
The workshop will involve:
Vocally warm up and learning songs around the piano.
Dancing in the mirror room and working individually and in an ensemble
Acting with their own personal script (written by us) where they can highlight and write their own notes.
Fabulous Zombie crafts (And quite possibly some green hairspray! It’s a must, right?)
As always we will put forward the idea of costume and ‘set’, prompting our MTG students to consider what they might want to wear for our performance and how we might make the show look for the parents!
